What you'll learn:
- A framework to build safety, harmony and responsiveness in all aspects of your riding from mounting to yielding in all gaits. (See sample lesson below).
- To deepen your understanding of how behaviors on the ground relate to what you’re getting under saddle.
- How purity of gait, lateral flexion, hindquarter and forequarter yields can help you diagnose and improve riding problems.
- How tying, trailer loading, catching and farrier prep all relate to riding.
- How consistency is important for learning and confidence, but variety is important for growth.
- To get to know your horse better mentally, emotionally and physically and improve your communication under saddle.

What is a Virtual Clinic?
Is this clinic right for me?
The focus for this clinic is improving your riding. A wide range of experience levels are covered.
- If you have the basics of riding- go, whoa and turn- this clinic is a good fit.
- If you're further along in your development- walk, trot, canter with confidence and are riding with a loose rein and/or a concentrated rein- there will be a ton for you in this clinic.
- What if I have a horse that I'm not ready to ride yet? If you're experienced with the concepts mentioned above but have an unstarted horse, you'll get a ton that you can take to them when it's time to ride.
- If you're new to riding AND have a horse who isn't started, this wouldn't be a good fit.
- If you aren't interested in riding the horse you have, this clinic wouldn't be a good fit.
Video Lessons and Downloadable Workbook
Access to hours of video with John and Kathy working with a variety of horses. The lessons will take you through a framework that will help you gain more control, communication and refinement. You'll have access to a downloadable workbook with tons of info to support your learning and a checklist of tasks for you to try with your horse.
4 Classroom Live Sessions
John and Kathy will meet with all of us via Zoom for interactive sessions to answer questions and help us dive even deeper into understanding the framework in the clinic. These will be recorded in case you aren't able to attend live.
Private Facebook Group
You'll be invited to join our private FB group. A great place to connect with others, stay motivated, be inspired and ask questions.
An App to take with you to the Barn
You'll have access to an app that works on smartphones and tablets so you can easily access the lessons anywhere!
